Poplar core veneers are employed in the production of both poplar plywood and hardwood plywood. The grade and quality of poplar cores for plywood can be categorized into seven grades: AA grade poplar core, A+ grade poplar core, A grade poplar core, B+ grade poplar core, B grade poplar core, C+ grade poplar core, and C grade poplar core, as follows: Copyright © Shandong Unique International Trade Co.,Ltd All Rights Reserved.
- AA Grade Poplar Core - The Best Corea. Core veneers: Superior whole-piece poplar core veneers (size: 84X127CM), machine-scarfed (with glued and hot-pressed scarf joints).b. The core undergoes 1 or 2 hot-pressing cycles.c. Exceptionally flat surface.d. Minimal thickness tolerance.e. Typically used in high-quality plywood, such as B/BB and BB/CC grade plywood.f. Significantly more expensive than the A+ grade core.
- A+ Grade Poplar Corea. Core veneers: Superior whole-piece poplar core veneers (size: 84X127CM).b. The core undergoes 2 hot-pressing cycles.c. Exceptionally flat surface.d. Minimal thickness tolerance.e. Typically used in high-quality plywood, such as B/BB and BB/CC grade plywood.
- A Grade Poplar Corea. Core veneers: Standard whole-piece poplar core veneers (size: 84X127CM).b. The core undergoes 1 hot-pressing cycle.c. Flat surface.d. Minimal thickness tolerance, slightly larger than A+ grade.e. Typically used in good-quality plywood, such as B/BB and BB/CC grade plywood. Most EU, US, and Canadian customers require this grade of core.
- B+ Grade Poplar Corea. Core veneers: Standard whole-piece poplar core veneers (size: 84X127CM) mixed with medium-sized poplar core veneers.b. The core undergoes 2 hot-pressing cycles.c. Flat surface.d. Thickness tolerance similar to A grade.e. Typically used in medium-quality plywood, such as BB/CC and DBB/CC grade plywood, as well as C+/C grade pine plywood.f. Economical and acceptable quality for many customers.
- B Grade Poplar Corea. Core veneers: Standard whole-piece poplar core veneers (size: 84X127CM) mixed with medium-sized poplar core veneers.b. The core undergoes 1 hot-pressing cycle.c. Flat surface.d. Thickness tolerance slightly larger than B+ grade.e. Typically used in medium-quality plywood, such as BB/CC, DBB/CC, and UTY grade plywood, as well as C+/C grade pine plywood.f. Economical and acceptable quality for many customers.
- C+ Grade Poplar Corea. Core veneers: Standard whole-piece poplar core veneers (size: 84X127CM) mixed with small (broken) size poplar core veneers.b. The core undergoes 2 hot-pressing cycles.c. Flat surface.d. Larger thickness tolerance.e. Typically used in utility-grade plywood, such as DBB/CC and UTY grade plywood.f. Inexpensive and acceptable quality for utility-grade plywood.
- C Grade Poplar Core (I Do Not Use This Grade)a. Core veneers: Standard whole-piece poplar core veneers (size: 84X127CM) mixed with small (broken) size poplar core veneers.b. The core undergoes 1 hot-pressing cycle.c. The core may not be very flat.d. Thickness tolerance is much larger.e. Typically used in lowest-quality plywood.f. Cheapest but quality cannot be guaranteed. Suitable for low-quality packing plywood (though I do not supply plywood made of this kind of core; we usually use C+ grade for our packing plywood).
